I'm a dancer, defensive soccer player, student, closet nerd, feminist, volcano loving gal who also happens to be the coolest and loudest girl in the room. However, folks don't often realize how shy I can be, because they see how conspicuous I am and mistake that for fearlessness.
I am really interested in music. I live with my headphones permanently attached to my person, and my iPod sticking out of my back pocket. I love pretty much all types of music [except anything too hardcore metal and most rap] and really like it when people recommend or give me new music too listen too. I’ll mostly love it, and therefore love you for sending it to me. So send away, and thank you.
I wish for the life of me I was slightly more interesting, but I’ve come to the realization that I’m interesting enough that I have a close-knit group of friends that I could not possibly live without. They are my wall, and I depend on them to support me in my life. And they do.
I have a not-so-secret love for podcasts. They feed my inner nerds. Inner nerd #1 is my Harry Potter nerd. J. K. Rowling is my hero and without her, my childhood/teenage years would have been void of dementors, animagus, ton-tongue-toffee, and The Quibbler. Inner nerd #2 is my techno-loving side. Xbox 360, bring it on. I grew up with my Sega, N64, and PS2. With Xbox, I’ve just recently gotten into, and I gotta say, I love it. I’m also beginning to get into the amazing world of comic books [where have they been all my life?] and if anyone has any suggestions, bring it on.
I’m am ridiculously spontaneous. I love trying new things, at random hours and totally inappropriate times. A good example of this would be a recent fixation on podcasting. I’ve been listening to PotterCast and MuggleCast from a while back, but through immense hours of boredom, I’ve stumbled across two of my now need-to-listen-to podcasts. One being The Totally Rad Show, hosted by Dan Trachtenberg, Alex Albrecht, and Jeff Cannata, and the other being Diggnation, hosted by Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, for the love of all that is sacred, download an episode and enjoy. In fact, during exam time, I had decided to make the smart choice of forgoing all studying in lieu of watching old episodes of both podcasts. Thank you Jessica!
I love the environment. A lot. Which is why I’m majoring in it. Not the environment per say, but Earth Science. My dream job would be to work as a volcanologist. For those who are confused, I want to spend my work days staring down into an active volcano, wondering when it’s going to explode. Sounds crazy right? Well I’m kind of insane like that.
That’s me in a nutshell. Kind of excessive yes, but quite frankly, when I start writing I find it hard to stop. That’s another thing about me. I love to write, and if I do say so, I do it quite well. Poems, short stories, random profound thoughts. I love it, and hopefully you will too.
Thanks for stopping by. Check out my blog, and add me as a friend eh?
